Why Become a Member of AADP?

The American Association of Dispensing Practitioners is a professional organization formed to make point-of-care dispensing of prescription drugs a reality. Before leaving your office, your patients will have the medication you have prescribed, without the inconvenience of going to a pharmacy to fill it. Make life a little easier for your patients.

From the open letter of Philip Oranburg, MD, to fellow physicians:

"Becoming an AADP member enhances the value of your practice, enabling you to control prescription drug compliance, while offering welcome convenience."

"No longer will patients return to your office for follow-up visits only to discover that they had a prescription filled incorrectly, were given a substitute drug, failed to get a refill, or didn't get the medication you prescribed at all."

"Your patients will appreciate the added convenience, competitive pricing and reduced risk of pharmacy-related errors."

"A recent article in the New England Journal of Medicine reported that compliance rates for chronic conditions averaged only 43 to 78 percent. The authors suggest better education of patients, better communications, and shorter waiting times, all of which can be readily accomplished by dispensing the medication yourself."
